🔥 He Cheated on Our Wedding Day, So I Married the Alpha King.

The Alpha’s Contract

I. The Betrayal

The air in the bridal suite smelled of white roses, expensive perfume, and impending disaster. Catherine stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror, adjusting the lace sleeves of her wedding dress. In thirty minutes, she was supposed to walk down the aisle and marry David, the Alpha heir of the Broadcas Pack. It was a union meant to save her family’s legacy. Her mother was dying from Wolf’s Bane Z poisoning, their pack was destitute, and David was her only lifeline.

“Hey babe, how’d you like the flowers?”

Catherine turned. Simon, David’s best friend and the designated wedding photographer, stood in the doorway, camera in hand.

“They’re beautiful, Simon. Thanks,” she smiled nervously.

“Hey David, do you mind taking a quick pose?” Simon called out. “That’s what I’m here for.”

David stepped into the room, already dressed in his tuxedo. He wrapped an arm around Catherine’s waist, his grip a little too tight. “Okay, lovebirds. Say newlywed,” Simon instructed, the camera clicking rapidly. “These are the best days.”

“Of course,” David smirked, pressing a kiss to Catherine’s temple. “I know exactly what you like and how you like it.”

Something in his tone made the hair on the back of Catherine’s neck stand up. It wasn’t directed at her. It was directed at Simon.

“Can I see the photos?” Catherine asked, reaching for the camera.

“Relax,” Simon said, pulling it back smoothly. “You’ll get to see them eventually.” He winked at David. “I’ll go check the lighting in the chapel.”

As Simon left, Catherine felt a cold knot forming in her stomach. “I need some air,” she muttered, stepping past David and walking down the hallway.

She turned the corner toward the private groom’s dressing room, intending to find a quiet place to breathe. But the door was slightly ajar. From inside, she heard a soft gasp, followed by a voice she recognized instantly.

“Simon, the wedding ceremony is starting, and you haven’t even signed the marriage contract yet. Sneaking around on your wedding day… it’s so hot.”

Catherine froze. The voice belonged to David.

“Admit it,” Simon whispered, the sound of rustling clothing accompanying his words. “You like me more than her.”

“No contest,” David groaned. “Catherine is so supreme and proper. She won’t even let me kiss her properly. But anyway…”

Catherine pushed the door open.

David and Simon were tangled together on the leather sofa, half-undressed.

“What the actual fuck?” Catherine breathed, the bridal bouquet slipping from her hands and hitting the floor with a soft thud.

David scrambled up, his face pale, frantically buckling his belt. “Catherine! I can explain—”

“Seriously?” she spat, her voice shaking with a rage that threatened to shift her into her wolf form right there in the dressing room. “My best friend and my fiancĂ©? Right before my wedding?”

David’s panic quickly morphed into a cruel, arrogant sneer. He walked toward her, buttoning his shirt. “Oh, you want me to marry you? You better start acting like someone worth marrying. Otherwise, this is off in one second.”

“I think you’re forgetting my dad basically saved your entire pack,” Catherine fired back.

“I paid my debt!” David shouted. “I don’t owe anyone shit! Especially not some wolfless weakling who wants me to fund her lab.”

He picked up the marriage contract from the desk and ripped it in half, throwing the pieces at her feet. “You’re pathetic. As if paperwork would lock down an Alpha. If you had any sense right now, you’d drop to your knees and beg me to marry you.”

Simon laughed from the sofa.

Catherine stared at them, the reality of her situation crashing down on her. Her mother was dying. She needed the Broadcas Pack’s funding to finish the antidote. Without this marriage, her family name was dead.

“Get out,” David said, pointing to the door. “I don’t need some girl who’s been passed around like last night’s leftovers. Your mom’s on her last legs. I’m your only lifeline. Walk out, and you have nothing. No friends, no support. Just you on your own.”

Catherine turned on her heel and walked out, tearing the veil from her hair. She ran out of the chapel, the heavy wedding dress dragging through the mud and dead leaves. She collapsed onto a stone bench in the gardens, sobbing into her hands.

“My best friend and my fiancĂ© both stabbed me in the back,” she wept. “Mom, what do I do now?”

“They screwed you over. Are you just going to let them win?”

Catherine snapped her head up. A man stood in the shadows of the weeping willows. He was tall, broad-shouldered, radiating an aura of lethal, contained power that only a true Alpha possessed.

“Don’t you want your revenge?” he asked, stepping into the light. He wore a sharp black suit, his dark eyes fixed intensely on her.

“Who the hell are you?” Catherine snapped, wiping her eyes.

“I’m the guy who makes sure people like them don’t win,” he said. “I’m Matthew Davis. Let me help you.”

II. The Proposal

Matthew Davis wasn’t just any Alpha. He was the heir to the Davis Pack, a rising syndicate of lethal wolves who were quickly becoming the most powerful force in the region.

“Name your price,” Matthew said, sitting beside her on the bench. “Marry me.”

“Are you kidding?” Catherine scoffed.

“No, I’m serious. Revenge on your fiancĂ© and best friend? I’m your guy. Give me a year. I’ll help you burn them down. I’ll give you money, a home, whatever you need to rebuild. I’ll even help you awaken your wolf. In return, you play my fated mate. Build my status as a settled Alpha, and I’ll give you your revenge.”

“No,” Catherine stood up, gripping the skirts of her ruined dress. “I’m not desperate enough to sell myself because of those idiots. I’m out.”

She walked away, leaving Matthew sitting alone in the garden.

But reality was a cruel master. When Catherine returned to the hospital, her mother’s condition had deteriorated drastically. The Wolf’s Bane Z was ravaging her system.

“You’re not doomed,” Catherine promised, holding her mother’s fragile hand. “Mom, I’ll finish the research. I’ll find the antidote. You just focus on getting better.”

“Promise me you won’t let them win,” her mother whispered, her breathing shallow.

“I promise, Mom.”

But without funding, Catherine’s lab was shut down. When she returned to her family estate to beg her uncle for money, he laughed in her face.

“Are you going to stop playing hard to get?” her uncle sneered. “The Black family’s legacy is mine now. You think anyone else will invest in your little research? Let’s be real. You’ll end up just like your mom.”

“Get out!” Catherine screamed.

“She said get out.”

Catherine spun around. Matthew Davis stood in the doorway of the estate, his presence suffocating the room with Alpha command.

“Matthew,” her uncle scoffed. “You loser. What are you doing here? You think you get to tell me what to do?”

“She’s my fiancĂ©e,” Matthew said, his voice dropping to a lethal growl. “I do whatever the fuck I want with her.”

Her uncle backed away, intimidated by the sheer force of Matthew’s aura. “Right. Done. Get him out.”

When they were alone, Catherine looked at Matthew. The desperation had finally eclipsed her pride.

“You’re an Alpha, right?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“Yeah.”

“Then marry me. In order to not become a rogue, I need to marry an Alpha. I need your name, your power, and in return, I will give you the antidote for Wolf’s Bane Z before anyone else. Deal?”

Matthew smiled, a slow, predatory grin. “About time. Waited long enough. From now on, you are Catherine Davis. You are my wife, and you will play my mate. Our marriage contract starts right now.”

III. The Luna’s Ascent

The contract was simple: One year of pretending to be deeply in love. In exchange, Matthew funded her lab, and Catherine secured his position as the Alpha King of the Davis Pack.

But Matthew’s protective instincts were anything but contractual.

He didn’t just give her money; he gave her power. He handed her the “Luna Card,” an exclusive black card that granted her absolute authority within the pack’s territories.

“You sure about this, boss?” his right-hand man, Alan, had asked. “If the other Alphas see it, they’ll know you’ve chosen her.”

“That’s the point,” Matthew replied. “From now on, call her Luna.”

Catherine’s first test of her new authority came at the Layman Auction House, an exclusive event where the elite packs gathered. She arrived wearing a stunning emerald dress, the Luna Card burning a hole in her clutch.

She was immediately intercepted at the entrance by David and Simon.

“Look who decided to join the party,” David sneered, blocking her path. “You want me to find another entrance, Luna?”

“No,” Catherine said smoothly. “Let them watch. It’s time I show them who they’re messing with.”

“Ma’am, this auction is only by invitation,” the bouncer said, stepping forward. “May I see yours?”

Before Catherine could produce her card, Simon scoffed. “She’s broke and desperate. She won’t last a month when the reality hits her. Let her walk ahead. That way, it’ll be easier to watch her trip.”

Catherine didn’t flinch. She pulled out the black Luna Card and flashed it at the bouncer. The man’s eyes widened, and he immediately bowed. “The Davis Pack. Catherine is a VIP guest. The VIP area is this way, Miss.”

David and Simon stared in open-mouthed shock as Catherine swept past them, her head held high.

Inside the auction, the stakes were even higher. The first item up for bid was the Thorn Crown, a relic formerly owned by Catherine’s family before they lost their fortune.

“The Black family bid starts at 40 million,” the auctioneer announced.

“I’ll take it,” Catherine said clearly, raising her paddle.

“46 million,” a rival Alpha called out.

“50 million,” Catherine countered.

Suddenly, a voice echoed from the VIP balcony. “100 million.”

The room gasped. The auctioneer banged his gavel. “100 million to Mr. X. Going once, going twice… Sold. Ladies and gentlemen, this gift is for Katherine Black, with a note attached: In exchange for your heart.

Catherine looked up at the balcony. Matthew stood there, a smirk playing on his lips. He raised his glass to her. He had just spent 100 million dollars simply to prove to the entire room that she belonged to him.

IV. The Sisterhood and the Traitor

Being the Luna meant dealing with the internal politics of the pack, specifically the “Sisterhood”—the inner circle of elite female wolves who ran the administrative and social affairs of the pack.

And the Sisterhood was currently ruled by Lilith.

Lilith was the daughter of a fallen Alpha who had died protecting Matthew’s father. As a result, Matthew felt a deep obligation to protect her. But Lilith was obsessed with Matthew, and she viewed Catherine as a temporary, wolfless pest.

Catherine decided to infiltrate the Sisterhood’s office to understand the power dynamics. She quickly realized that Lilith and her cronies were corrupt, hazing new hires and skimming funds.

“Since when did we start letting trash into the Sisterhood?” Lilith sneered when Catherine walked in. “Gross. I feel dirty.”

But Catherine didn’t back down. When Lilith tried to frame her for stealing a valuable gemstone, producing a forged contract with Catherine’s signature, Catherine was ready.

“You must have wasted a lot of brainpower faking this,” Catherine said, picking up the contract in front of the entire office. “I left two letters out of my signature on purpose, just in case someone tried to forge my name. Are you blind? That’s not my handwriting.”

Lilith panicked. “I’m calling the cops!”

“You are the sneaky one,” Catherine fired back. “And FYI, I’ve already called them.”

Matthew walked into the office, his presence immediately silencing the room. “What’s going on here?”

“Last night, someone snuck into the executive assistant’s office and stole a valuable gemstone,” Lilith lied smoothly. “It was Catherine. Look at the contract!”

Matthew didn’t even look at the paper. He looked at Catherine. “What do you think, Cath? What’s a good punishment for theft?”

“Kick her out of the pack. Make her pay 10 times the value. And hand her over to the cops. Sounds fair.”

Matthew turned to Lilith’s accomplices. “Take her away.”

Lilith screamed as security grabbed her arms. “I’m sorry! I didn’t know you were the Luna!”

“Forget it,” Catherine said coldly. “But I don’t want anything like this happening in the Sisterhood again.”

V. The Poisoned Blood

Despite her victories, Catherine’s time was running out. She was secretly suffering from the same Wolf’s Bane Z poisoning that had killed her mother. She was taking experimental suppressants, but the symptoms were worsening.

During a massive gala thrown in her honor, the poison flared up. She stumbled into the hallway, her vision blurring, her veins feeling like they were filled with liquid fire.

“This shouldn’t be happening right now,” she gasped, leaning against the wall. “It’s not a full moon yet. What’s happening with the antidote?”

Suddenly, she was grabbed from behind. A cloth soaked in chloroform was pressed over her mouth. She fought, but her weakened body gave out, and the world faded to black.

When she woke up, she was tied to a chair in a damp, freezing cellar.

“Savor that fear, Catherine,” a voice mocked from the shadows.

It was Lilith.

“Someone paid 5 million to see you dead,” Lilith sneered, stepping into the dim light. “Matthew will find you? I wrote a note in your handwriting. He thinks you ran away. You’re just going to rot here. Yeah, he’ll recognize your bloated corpse once I drop you in the ocean.”

“Why didn’t the poison work on you?” Catherine choked out, her vision swimming.

Lilith laughed, a manic, unhinged sound. “Did you know I’m the Chairman of the Alliance’s secret agent? I’m a genius with cursed potions. That Wolf’s Bane Z? I created it. I spiked your food, triggering your attacks. Matthew’s sister was the one poisoning him and you all along!”

“You’re a monster,” Catherine whispered.

“Flattery will get you nowhere,” Lilith smiled, raising a syringe filled with a lethal dose of the venom. “Goodbye, Catherine.”

Suddenly, the heavy iron doors of the cellar were blown off their hinges with a deafening crash.

Matthew stood in the doorway, his eyes glowing gold with terrifying Alpha fury. He didn’t hesitate. He crossed the room in a blur of motion, slamming Lilith against the concrete wall with enough force to crack it.

“If anyone tries to stop me, they’re going straight to hell,” Matthew roared. He turned to Lilith, his fangs bared. “And if I ever catch you messing with her again, I’ll kill you for real next time.”

He dropped Lilith and rushed to Catherine, ripping the ropes from her wrists and pulling her into a fierce, desperate embrace.

“I got you,” he breathed, burying his face in her neck. “I’m okay. I’m okay.”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were sick?” he asked later, as he patched her up in their penthouse.

“I was afraid you’d leave me,” Catherine admitted, looking down at her hands.

Matthew gently lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him. “Seeing your smile is my mission in life. Must be an Alpha instinct. I promise I will never make you worry again. Just don’t leave me.”

“I’m going nowhere,” Catherine promised.

VI. The Awakening and The End

The trauma of the kidnapping, combined with the extreme dose of the poison, triggered something ancient within Catherine.

She wasn’t wolfless. Her wolf had simply been dormant, suppressed by the trauma of her childhood. When she finally awakened, she didn’t just shift; she awakened as a Healer—a legendary class of wolf immune to all poisons, capable of curing the Wolf’s Bane Z.

Armed with her new power and the completed antidote she synthesized from her own blood, Catherine and Matthew launched a devastating counter-attack against the Chairman of the Alliance, the man who had ordered the hit on Catherine and funded Lilith’s poison rings.

They exposed his corruption to the Council of Elders. Lilith, betrayed by the Chairman when she became a liability, was banished into the rogue territories, stripped of her name and pack. The Chairman was found dead in his estate, an apparent suicide, though the rumors suggested Matthew had paid him a personal visit.

With the threat neutralized and the antidote distributed to the packs, the Davis Pack rose to unprecedented power. Matthew was unanimously declared the Alpha King of the Alliance.

VII. The True Vow

Months later, Catherine stood on the balcony of their new, sprawling castle estate. She was holding their newborn daughter, Diana, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of purple and gold.

Matthew stepped out onto the balcony, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder.

“I want to show you something,” he murmured, handing her a thick leather folder.

Catherine opened it. Inside were the deeds to every single asset, property, and business the Davis Pack owned.

“What are these?” she asked, bewildered.

“These are the deeds to all of my assets,” Matthew said softly. “I want your name on every one of them.”

“Matthew, I… The Wolf’s Bane Z antidote is done. I put the Black family name on it, which means my family name is back on top. We’re equals now.”

“My Alpha,” he smiled, kissing her cheek. “You’ve already done so much for me. How can I ever repay you?”

“By loving me for all time,” Catherine whispered, leaning back into his embrace.

“Catherine, forget the contract,” Matthew said, turning her around to face him. He looked deep into her eyes, the golden Alpha glow replaced by pure, unguarded devotion. “Give me your heart.”

Catherine smiled, looking down at their sleeping daughter. “Of course I will. I mean, we already have a baby. We’re way past the contract.”

From a brutal betrayal on her wedding day to a secret crush spanning fifteen years, the journey had been forged in fire and blood. But as she stood in the arms of the Alpha King, her true mate, Catherine knew that the contract was just the beginning. The real story—their happily ever after—started now.
