A year after the trial, Nathaniel established the Mia Delgado Foundation. It was a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting domestic workers and their families across South Carolina, providing scholarships, legal assistance, and protection for people whose voices had been silenced for too long.

Rosa’s eyes filled with tears. “Thank you, Mr. Cole. Thank you for believing us.”

Nathaniel smiled. “I didn’t believe you, Rosa. I listened. I watched. I trusted my instincts. And you and Mia taught me something I’ll never forget.”

“Which is?”
