Chapter 14: The Right Person At The Wrong Time

Exactly one year later, in the grand ballroom of the exact same luxury hotel in Chicago where their incredible emotional journey had truly begun, Mark and Victoria joyfully celebrated their wedding.

It was an intimate, beautiful gathering of close family and loyal friends.

Lily, proudly serving as both the official flower girl and the “Best Daughter,” beamed with absolute, radiant pride as she stood at the altar, watching her father and Victoria exchange their heartfelt, tearful vows.

“It wasn’t a mistake, Mark,” Victoria said softly, turning in his arms to look deeply into his eyes. “It just miraculously reached the right person at exactly the wrong time.”

She leaned much closer, her soft lips gently brushing against his ear as she whispered.

“And now, I finally get to say it back to you every single day for the rest of our entire lives,” Victoria whispered. “I love you, Mark Collins.”

As they happily rejoined the loud celebration inside, Mark watched his beautiful daughter joyfully twirling on the wooden dance floor, her face alight with pure, unburdened joy. He thought of Sarah, and he somehow knew deep in his bones that she was smiling down on them, completely approving of this beautiful new chapter in their continuing story.
