Loser Learned To Teleport Anywhere In The World And Became Rich…

Let me tell you about my day so far. Coffee in Paris, surfed the Maldes, took a little nap on Mount Kilimanjaro. Oh yeah, and I got digits from this Polish chick in Rio. And then I jumped back for the final quarter of the NBA finals. Courtside, of course. And all that was before lunch. I could go on, but all I’m saying is I’m standing on top of the world.
Lighter train here. It wasn’t always like that. At the beginning of the film, we see the main character named David, an ordinary student at an ordinary American school. He likes a girl named Millie. During their conversation, the guy notices various photos from different countries on her school locker.
It turns out she really dreams of traveling around the world. And later, David gives her a snow globe with the Eiffel Tower inside. Millie likes it, but this moment is interrupted by Mark, who teases David for being a dork and throws the snow globe onto the middle of a frozen lake. Apparently, Mark also likes Millie. David is determined to get it back. But when he walks on the ice, the ice can’t support his weight and breaks.
The freezing water engulfs the boy and causes him to panic to such an extent that he suddenly disappears from the lake, only to appear in the library. Frightened, David decides to ignore what just happened and go home with the rescued Globe. At home, his displeased father named William awaits him. He immediately starts yelling at David for being late, despite the fact that the guy almost died.
So, the guy just hides in his room, locking the door. The furious William starts pushing the door, and when he’s about to break in, David disappears and ends up in that same library again. Finally, the guy realizes he has superpowers that he can’t yet control. The guy tries to leave the library and immediately finds himself in his bedroom at home.
He grabs his savings and runs away to start a new life without constant bullying from his father and classmates. But first, he stops by Milliey’s house, leaving the snow globe on the swing so she knows he’s alive and well. Next, David moves to the city and rents a dark room in a motel.
With a bunch of questions, he starts testing his powers, trying to understand how it all works. The first few times he crashed into a tree, but eventually he manages to figure it out. Upon returning to his new room, the guy looks at photos of places he wants to visit, but he had no idea he could teleport there just by looking at a photo. His first visit is to the Empire State Building, where David has warm memories of his life with his mom.
When he feels ready, David visits a bank to get an idea of what it looks like inside. I think each of you would also get the idea to teleport into a bank to become a little richer. David asks the guard where the bathroom is and on the way there notices a huge safe that stores a lot of money and as we can guess in the evening the guy teleports inside the bank to steal all the money.
First he teleports to the bathroom and from there into the vault itself. Before his eyes is a pile of cash and he realizes he needs a bigger bag. He makes several such trips and takes out a decent sum of money. The guy jumps on the bed covered with cash and joy. At this moment, the hotel owner knocks on his door to ask for money for 2 days.
Hello. The next day, the bank discovers the robbery. All services arrive as well as a man in a gray cloak named Roland. He shows his NSA credentials and calmly enters the bank. He has experience with such cases and knows about the existence of guys like David. He’s sure it was teleportation since the locks weren’t opened at all.
8 years later, David is living his best life. He has a luxurious penthouse in New York filled with expensive items and such good control over his powers that he uses them only to get to the kitchen and the couch. He has an entire room that stores a huge amount of cash from different countries. and his walls are full of photos and landmarks that allow him to easily teleport to any point in the world.
One evening, he appears in the very center of London on Big Ben and enters a pub where he openly teleports to a beautiful girl. This carelessness is noticed by another guy named Griffin. But David says nothing and just leaves with the girl. While she sleeps, he teleports to the coast to go surfing at dawn.
But unfortunately today there are no waves in these parts. So he teleports to Fiji where the wave reaches 10 m. And for lunch he drops by the head of the Sphinx in Egypt. At this time we’re shown the jungle where Roland catches one of the jumpers using an electromagnetic field made of live wires that prevents them from teleporting again. These people call themselves paladins and hunt down teleporters.
Roland kills the guy without hesitation, then receives a call about their next lead. A few moments later, David returns to his apartment and finds Roland there, who hints that he knows everything. And when the guy asks Roland to leave, he hits him with a special baton that shocks him and prevents David from teleporting further than a few feet inside the apartment.
But the guy still tries to go farther and looks at photos, but it doesn’t work. After this, David manages to teleport into a hidden room in his wall. Roland follows the cable and starts breaking down the wall, but David grabs a bunch of money and teleports to his old house to his father. William hears the noise and rushes to meet his son, saying he feels crazy and that David can come anytime.
David assures William that he’s not crazy before disappearing again. Not giving up, Roland looks at the photos and sends his people there. He also goes through David’s things and finds an old photo of Millie and understands how to proceed. Now, the next morning, David thinks about visiting William, but can’t bring himself to talk to him.
Instead, he goes to Milliey’s house, and Milliey’s mother is shocked to learn that David is alive and hugs him. She tells David that Millie works at a local bar, and David heads there only to feel like a coward again as soon as he sees the older Millie. David tries to leave, but he’s noticed, and he runs into Mark, who immediately recognizes him and starts asking questions.
Millie hears him and tells him she saw David when he arrived and was waiting for him to say something. This makes Mark jealous and he tries to attack Millie, forcing David to hit him for it. This causes a fight that ends outside, giving David a chance to push Mark through the fence and teleport him while no one is looking. They appeared inside the bank vault that David robbed, and David threatens Mark with worse before disappearing, leaving Mark in the vault as punishment.
After this, David returns to the bar and finally talks to Millie, who gave up her dream of traveling because she had to face reality. David tells her he works in banking and offers to take her to Rome, which Millie obviously accepts. This is overheard by Griffin, who is somehow at the same bar.
And later, they do go to Rome, but on a regular plane, so she doesn’t know about David’s abilities. Meanwhile, Roland comes to the police station pretending to be a CIA agent and hits a detective when he’s not believed. Then he interrogates Mark, saying he believes his crazy story about teleportation. Happy to have found an ally, Mark tells Roland about David and Millie.
Roland immediately calls his people to send them to Italy. A few hours later, David and Millie are in a very luxurious hotel. Millie is suspicious about David’s real job, but he swears he’s not lying. After they leave the hotel to enjoy the beauty of Rome while Griffin watches from a distance. Eventually, David and Millie try to enter the coliseum, but it’s already closed.
While Millie is distracted, David teleports inside to open a side door and pretends he just found it. The couple wanders around and enjoys the history behind these sites. David pulls the same trick every time they find a locked door. You’ll catch on. Once again, he teleports to the lower part of the coliseum and runs into Griffin.
David tries to ignore him, but Griffin suddenly teleports in front of him and explains that teleporters exist all over the world. Griffin scolds David for dragging a non-leporter into this. Because of this, his girlfriend could get hurt. Griffin explains that the paladins know about all movements, and at that minute, they emerge from a dark opening. David is immediately stunned by a special electric baton and can’t move.
But Griffin has more experience with these guys tricks. He’s encountered them before. He teleports in seconds and quickly knocks them down one by one, thereby saving David. Then he tells him about the Paladin organization which catches and kills guys like David. Suddenly, a Colosseum employee appears and screams for help.
So, Griffin teleports and David jumps into the rift left by Griffin. And as a result of teleportation, he moves along his path and ends up in his hideout. The furious Griffin reminds him that he left Millie alone, and David immediately jumps back to pull Millie out of the building. Unfortunately, the police are waiting outside and arrests them.
8 hours later, the police try to interrogate David, although they can’t arrest them until the US embassy magistrate arrives. This judge turns out to be his mother, Mary, who apparently knows something about her son’s abilities. She frees David from the handcuffs and tells him to run before new paladins arrive.
David tries to follow her to demand explanations, but a policeman stands in his way. So, David teleports him to Egypt as punishment. Then, David returns to the station and tells Millie that the police let them go. Millie doesn’t believe it can be that simple, but David asks her to trust him and takes her to the airport. Not understanding why they’re running if everything seems fine.
Millie demands explanations. David shows her all the money in his bag, but doesn’t give her a penny, saying they can’t be together anymore. Feeling betrayed, Millie flies back to her hometown alone. Meanwhile, Roland’s team calls him and reports that they were defeated, as if someone knew they were coming.
And Roland says he has a plan, after which he visits David’s father, who pretends he hasn’t seen his son in 8 years. Roland also notices the mother’s photo and wonders. William also says that even if he does see David, he won’t tell the police, which Roland doesn’t like. If I hear anything, I’ll be sure to give you a holler. A few moments later, David appears in Griffin’s hideout and learns that Griffin tracks down Paladins to kill them.
It turns out the Paladins have been doing this for centuries, and they’re responsible for things like the Inquisition. Griffin notes that if they can’t catch a teleporter, they’ll attack his loved ones, which makes David worry. He realizes Millie is safe now because she has a long flight ahead.
So, David teleports to his old house and is shocked to see William dead on the floor. Grief doesn’t allow David to think clearly, and he teleports straight to the hospital in front of everyone. William is hospitalized, but the doctors can’t do anything to save him. Enraged, David decides to teleport to Mark’s cell and immediately starts threatening him until he admits that it was he who told Roland everything about their hometown, including David’s feelings for Millie.
David realizes he must catch Roland before Millie lands in the US. He teleports to Griffin’s hideout to try to steal his information about the paladins. Griffin doesn’t let him, explaining that unlike the minions, Roland is too dangerous. This makes David think they should team up to defeat him, but Griffin refuses, saying he prefers to work alone.
Then Griffin teleports to Tokyo, and David follows his trail, continuing to bother him. Griffin prefers to steal a car for fun and brings David along, showing him how he can make a car teleport along the road. David has never jumped with something so big, and Griffin admits he once knew a guy who tried to teleport an entire building but died in the process.
After David asks for the millionth time, Griffin agrees to team up if only David will stop bothering him. After this, the two of them teleport to the airport, but it’s too late. Millie has already landed and left. David goes to the bar to ask about her, and the waitress tells him that Roland also asked about Millie.
Then David teleports to Milliey’s apartment and is relieved to find that she’s okay. Millie doesn’t want to see him, but David hears the paladins approaching, so he starts confessing everything, teleporting to grab the snow globe from the shelf to prove it to her. This scares Millie and she tries to run away. So, David has no choice but to grab her and take her to Griffin’s hideout.
This enrages Griffin because he knows the paladins have a machine that allows them to open wormholes left by teleporters, just like David moved following Griffin. At this time, Roland and his people arrive at Milliey’s apartment and do exactly what Griffin feared. While they wait for the wormhole to open, the boys hide, and David discovers that Griffin’s research includes his own mother because Mary is also a paladin. At this moment, Roland arrives and captures David.
When he’s about to kill him, Griffin intervenes with a flamethrower and starts fighting Roland. To counter Roland’s use of technology, Griffin teleports to the city to grab a bus to drop it on him. Unfortunately, Roland is fine, so Griffin uses the flamethrower again to push him back into the wormhole.
Then, he follows him to continue the fight in Milliey’s apartment. Meanwhile, Millie cuts the wires to save David and makes him promise he’ll leave her alone after he takes her home. David agrees, but also admits she’s been his childhood love. This moment is interrupted by Griffin, who returns with the Paladin’s machine, thinking they won’t be tracked anymore.
However, Roland uses the wormhole from Griffin’s jump to launch a hook that grabs Millie and delivers her to the apartment. David wants to save Millie, but Griffin starts preparing a bomb to blow up the apartment and kill all the paladins once and for all, not caring that Millie will also die in the process.
Not wanting to lose Millie, David grabs the bomb and throws it into the coliseum. Griffin immediately follows him and the two start fighting over the detonator, teleporting all over the world. Eventually, they reach the top of the Empire State Building and David throws the detonator away and they’ll have to jump for it. A new series of jumps begins again and Griffin teleports a truck to knock David down.
They teleport to a battlefield in Iran 2026. Ignoring the war around them, Griffin gets the detonator, but at this moment, David jumps on him and presses him against a pylon to trap Griffin for a while. After this, David teleports to Milliey’s apartment and finds her tied to the wall. As soon as he tries to save her, Roland attacks him with a baton.
Then Roland prepares to kill him, but Millie apologizes for misunderstanding everything, and this gives David the support he needs. Suddenly, the entire room disappears from the building and teleports into the middle of a river. David’s head is spinning underwater, so Millie swims to him so he can teleport again to the old library.
After Millie wakes David, he notices Roland is still here. He teleports Millie to safety before jumping on Roland, teleporting him to an isolated cave in the middle of the Grand Canyon. Before leaving, David notes that he’s a good person because he could have left Roland with the sharks. Roland remains alone on the edge of a huge cliff. Many days later, David follows clues about his mother to a house in a snowy area.
When he knocks on the house, he finds Isabella from Twilight on the doorstep. He realizes Mary has a new life here with a daughter, and Mary admits she left him because she knew about his powers. Mary refuses to leave her paladin job and hugs him, explaining that she loves David. David leaves when he acknowledges that his mother is the enemy and meets with Millie who leaves with him to warmer
